Complete the back of the sheet we started in class "A look at labels".

Complete both sides of the division math sheet.

MONDAY 23 NOVEMBER 2009

We learned a lot today about food labels. You need to complete both sides of the food label sheet. One side needs to be describing a cereal and the other side can describe any food of your choice.

You also need to read the Advertising: Fact or Opinion sheet and answer the questions on the back. I want quality grade 5 answers!!! This can count as your reading minutes.

Don't forget to practice your math facts!

You do not have spelling this week, use the extra time to practice your lines for the play.

1. TONIGHT YOU ARE TO GATHER YOUR COSTUMES FOR THE PLAY AND MEMORIZE YOUR LINES. You need to come to school with ALL of your lines memorized and ALL of your costumes!

2. Work on your 2nd advert anthology. This does not need to be completed, but you can work on it to get ahead.

Yes, you do have homework!

Every night you should be doing the “standard 3”:
1. Read for a minimum of 20 minutes
2. Practice your spelling for at least 10 minutes
3. Study your math facts for at least 10 minutes

PLUS…. Tonight you are to finish your advertising presentation.... this should take about 20 additional minutes!

Every night you should do the "standard 3" as homework. These should take you at least 40 minutes. Plus I will assign an additional assignment depending on what we are doing in class.

"Standard 3"

1. Read a minimum of 20 minutes and log it on your Reading Log sheet

2. Study your spelling words at least 10 minutes

3. Practice your math facts
