PROYECTO: EL MUNDO HISPANO

Part 2 – due date Wednesday 3rd March
Please present your information in written point-form in Spanish. (Use a similar format to Part 1; that is, do not write complete sentences or paragraphs.) If you need to, please use wordreference.com or a printed version of a good Spanish-English dictionary.
1. Ethnicity of population of assigned country
Provide a breakdown of the ethnicity of the population. This will give an idea of past immigration to the country.
2. Current/recent emigration statistics
Try to find statistics on the number of people who emigrate from your country and the countries they go to. Write down, too, your thoughts on why most of these people leave their home country (based on what you find when researching.)

Guidelines re research:
1. Use the school library and/or the public library in Road Town. The librarians will be able to help you locate useful materials.
2. Reputable and up-to-date encyclopaedia (online or printed).

Homework 10-17 February

Homework 10-17 February....until mid term break

For your homework over the next few days you will need access to the internet. I am assigning it now so you have plenty of time to access a computer and complete these assignments.

Please note due dates! Do not wait until the last minutes to complete these assignments!

1. Menu ideas for 2 breakfast/2lunch/2 dinners –DUE FRIDAY (12 Feb.)
2. Family Migration Project – DUE MONDAY (15 Feb.)
3. “Where in the World Are We” map/research on WWII activity. Due WEDNESDAY (17 Feb.)
4. “Famous Immigrants” research 5 famous immigrants and write an explanation as to why they are famous- DUE WEDNESDAY (17 Feb.)
5. SPANISH Inca- Due Friday

There will be no spelling next week. Please remember you are still required to read each night (probably Number the Stars assigned by me) and practice your math facts.
